Tuesday.
Woodcote - South Oxfordshire.
I don't know about you but the first night sleeping anywhere that's not "home", always takes some getting used to.
Last night was no different.
Waking up this morning, was exceptional. Through the bedroom window, I could see so many red kites swooping down around the village here.
They're beautiful birds. We have a pair of "crveni zmaj - red kites" in Čardacani, but they don't come as close to people and buildings as here. Great start to the day.
Reading - Berkshire.
Today was spent in the local town of Reading (population 160,000 in the borough - 330,000 urban).
The 30 minute bus trip gradually changes from fields and serene to seriously built up and chaotic. £5.30 return ticket. The bus runs hourly, so planning is required.
4 hours spent in town. On my feet throughout. Got everything done.
Walked to Caversham to look at the 'Thames".
Had to buy stuff for a "mini cultural evening on Wednesday".
Took a nap when I got back to Woodcote at about 1530. Power Naps are great let me tell you!
My daughter treated us all to "Wagamamma" for evening meal.
Loved it, although it was a tad noisy.
"On! On!" As they say in the Hashing World.
