What Rural Bosnia Really Looks Like
A Drone Flight Over My Village
People often ask me what the village where I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina actually looks like.
Most of the time you see me walking the lanes, talking about retirement, daily life, and the small things that make living here special.
But in this post, I thought I’d show you something a little different.
This is Čardačani, the village where Tamara and I have been living for more than two decades.



That's a great video. It gives a perfect view of how dispersed houses tend to be in many villages in Bosnia (and Serbia and Croatia for that matter). That's different from further south or east in the Balkans where the villages tend to be densely built.
