I Got My Bosnia Residency! from Laktaši

🇧🇦 Life Updates from Laktaši

📍 Outside Laktaši, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Well… this wasn’t meant to be anything fancy. Just a quick check-in while sitting in the car park at Tropic supermarket, but as usual, things turned into a bit of a ramble about life here in Bosnia.

In this video, I share a small personal milestone: I’ve finally received my permanent residency. That means goodbye to patchy prepaid mobile data, and hello to proper streaming!

So this is one of the first videos I’ve done with (hopefully) decent quality from my phone. Let me know how it looks and sounds to you.

Tamara’s off shopping for ingredients — parsnip, to be precise — because we’ve got builders coming tomorrow to finish off a small project at home. As is the custom here, we’ll be feeding them well.

On the menu? Begova Čorba and goulash, with just a touch of Dutch Genever (the grandad of gin) to round it off.

But no repeat of last time’s rakija-fueled lunch, I promise.

There’s more to come from our life here in the village near Laktaši — and more of these little updates and reflections, both here and over on YouTube.

🎥 If you’re interested in retiring off the beaten path, slow living in the Balkans, or just curious what everyday life looks like in Bosnia and Herzegovina, you might find something to enjoy here.

Thanks for watching — and if you’re new here, consider subscribing for more glimpses into life in the Western Balkans.
