The younger generations joke about it, yet, we still seem to believe in it... The culture and superstitions are strong! I also had a good laugh from that video at the end.

Promaja, slippers, wet hair - I defy all of those rules constantly and get in trouble for it. Although, my neck HAS been pretty stiff lately… :)

Btw, there is a small restaurant/cafe near Sarajevo that is actually called Hotel Promaja. Did a photoreportage there a few years back. If you're into hiking it's an ideal destination.

Also saw a bar (or something of that sort) in Podgorica called Promaja.

It seems as though some people in the region have developped an ironic take on the issue - although I suspect, even they secretly still believe in the idea.
